More Features for the Home Page
We've recently made some more changes to the Texas State University home page that we hope you'll like. Some of them were in response to feedback from you folks, and some were just things we thought would be cool. Some of the things I'm most excited about:
I hope you'll find these changes helpful and enjoyable. As usual, if you have any feedback on the site, please let us know!
- Font Fixes: Internet Explorer users, we have heard your cries! We've made some changes to the site that should make it render much more consistently in IE for Windows XP. Some of the navigation should also be better across other browsers as well. Take a look, and let us know what you think. (Especially if things are still messed up for you.)
- RSS feeds: For those of you using an RSS aggregator like Bloglines or SharpReader, you can now track the news and events on the home page or any of the audience pages off the main site. RSS autodiscovery is enabled on those pages, so just give your aggregator the address of the page you want to monitor (like "http://www.txstate.edu/") and the aggregator should be able to take care of the rest for you.
- More Campus Photos: We've added a bunch of photography from around campus to the sidebar in the site. Now you won't have to look at the same two students all the time!
- Search Improvements: we've made a variety of improvements to the search form which should cause you to scream in frustration less often when using it.
I hope you'll find these changes helpful and enjoyable. As usual, if you have any feedback on the site, please let us know!
